Dr. Standing has been wonderful with our child. We are so thankful for her experience in the ER, as well as her gentle bedside manner and holistic approach to health and wellbeing. Highly recommend.

Super disappointed! Drove all the way from Elkhart, Iowa (1.5. hrs.). Arrived 20 mins early. Just one receptionist working who was registering another new patient w/ a line behind her. There was a line of patients forming in front of us. No sign indicating to wait in a certain place or to be seated. Everyone just standing around in front of the one registration desk. There was literally no one else there to ask about our 1:00 appt. Just a bad vibe. Was really looking forward to meeting Dr. Standing as she came highly recommended. She may be great but we will never know as we walked out and drove all the way back (1.5) hrs. home. Wasted gas & time off work. It would have taken forever to wait for all those patients to be checked in, well past our appt. time & my husband had to get back to work. No thanks! One employee working the front desk? Seriously? Not a good first impression.

I cannot thank Dr. Standing enough for helping us get our daughter back from her autoimmune disease. Although we will always be fighting it, we are thankful that there are mere traces of it left, thanks to her suggestions, supplements and incredible care.nnDr. Standing LISTENS to her patients, doesn't move forward on anything unless you agree with the plan of action, and really takes time with each of her patients. We are so thankful we found Dr. Standing when we did!!

My 3.5 year old son hadn't been growing, and was constantly getting sick, along with battling eczema all of his life, and never, EVER sleeping for more than a 2 hour stretch. After years of taking him to various doctors and specialists, no one seemed to find anything wrong with him. I was told that he was just a small child, and that I was a hypochondriac, and that the nurses and doctors just never measured him accurately. However, he still fit in his same 18 month clothes, that he had been wearing since he was 6 months old, and he was now 3.5 years old, so I knew that explanation was bologna. Zero growth in almost 3 years, still did not sit right with me, and I continued searching for answers. Coincidentally I was referred to Dr. Standing. She was able to see us fairly promptly, and actually took the time to listen to my concerns, without looking at me like I was a crazy woman. She was very empathetic, and knowledgeable and knew just the right tests to order. She spent an hour with us, and never made us feel rushed, always answering my questions. She was able to get to the root of my sons problems and recommend some drastic dietary changes, along with various supplements. We made the changes, and in two months, my son grew 1.6 inches and gained 1lb. After not gaining any weight in almost 3 years, and being in his same clothes size for 3 years, we were shocked, and relieved. We're definitely feeling confident in his prognosis, happy to see him finally growing, and thankful that he is finally sleeping through the night, his eczema has cleared up, and he hasn't gotten any bacterial or contagious illnesses. If you have a child with a tricky issue, or doctors haven't been able to find the root cause or any cause for your child's condition, please consider Dr. Standing in helping to heal your child!

This doctor is not in West Des Moines. She works out of a facility in Creston, IA. We finally decided to make an appointment when my son was having trouble breathing. We have been in town for one week from California and planned on contacting this doctor because she advertises being in West Des Moines and focusing on alternative medicine. I called yesterday and who ever scheduled the appointment said tomorrow at 9 am. I said we'll take it. We drove all the way here and were told the appointment was scheduled for another day. We drove one hour with an 8 month old! I'm very sad and will not be returning to the appointment. I'm writing to warn you all of this situation. I'm not sure of the doctors skills because I didn't get to meet her, but I can tell you she is not in West Des Moines.
