Great store with knowledgeable staff & quality paint and supplies. The only place in Ames that stocks my favorite short comfort grip paintbrush - so perfect for cutting in and doing trim.

What a company! I've always been a fan of Sherman-Williams but today they went above and beyond. My paint somehow crapped out sitting inside my home in a climate controlled basement. Its only 1.5 years old and I went to patch a wall and the paint wasn't useable. It had somehow became a lump in the bottom of a milky liquid. The gentlemen that helped me out at the counter got approval from his manager to replace my paint for me. I was going in there expecting a replacement but I was prepared to pay for it at maybe a discounted rate for my inconvenience but wow was I impressed when they said it was on them. They have earned my business for a lifetime. That's quality service.
