The dentists are great. The people behind desks there are not so much, almost rude to an extent.nI went in to have an exam to get my wisdom teeth extracted and walked out feeling like I had just been to a bad car shop and this is their gimmick that they use to get more money out of people. I was told I had gum disease and we had to take immediate action. At this point I'm a little overwhelmed and they are the experts so I follow along. They then sit me down out front to talk about how I was going to pay them for all their services. I was informed that I dont qualify after waiting for ever to receive any payment assistance and my bill was going to be $1600 after insurance and everything else was pulled. I had my four wisdom teeth pulled out, and a plaque scaling that wasn't very extensive, the medicated mouth rinses they give you aren't covered by any insurance and are expensive. The past six months have not been good to anyone and I've not been as successful as I'd hoped to have be with paying off my bill, however I did always know how much I still owed. Today I planned to call and pay off my bill and am informed that I don't owe $100.24 like all of my records say even ones from them, instead I owe $193.24. Needless to say I will not go back to Aspen dental nor would I recommend them to anyone.

Update: When I went to this specific location I really like them. Sometime last year my husband had a big procedure done and had him get the care credit card. Months passed and the insurance hadn't paid back yet. Come to find out they never billed our insurance. So almost a year later we are still trying to get everything figured out to pay the card off! Which should have been figured out long ago. Ridiculous.

Very caring group of people! Very gentle with my sore tooth and are able to get me in as soon as Monday (went in Friday) to fix the problem.nnUpdate *as of Monday ***nI was 20 minutes late for my appointment and they still let me in the door. Very gentle with numbing. Made sure I was fully numb before the extraction. Very mindful of my anxiety. I would definitely take my kids here!! I will definitely come back!

What a different experience I had at Aspen! When the pain from my toothache finally outweighed my hatred for going to the dentist I was actually taken aback with how I was dealt with. Every person there went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable as possible which in turn helped me stay calm. The young dentist did an excellent job and had a bed side manner to match, and the girls assisting him were awesome too even holding my hand during the procedure. Honestly I never leave a review on anything but if you really knew how much I hate going to the dentist for anything it makes even more sense for my praise filled review. Aspen in Ames rocks and I'll tell everyone I know for sure, thank you!
