Visited off season, first week of March. Was peaceful and serene to read the history and imagine. Greeted by a red hound, very friendly.
Very neat historic sight. Loved walking around and seeing the layout of the town. Lots of deer to see and watch in the evening. Campground was nice. Kids enjoyed exploring the river and trails Superintendent was great, very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed visiting. Highly recommend for a weekend or day trip
Lovely area and well kept up. Many things to look at and do will definitely recommend to others.
My girlfriend and I get there and a friendly neighborhood dog greats us and takes us on the best unofficial tour I have ever had, Cooper the trail master.
