Dr. Laura Gillespie has been amazing to work with. She sees both my children. Anytime I’ve ever had a question, all I have to do is email her and typically, she gets back with me immediately. She genuinely cares about her patients. The world could use more doctors like her.

I went to Focus MD for an ADHD diagnosis or better understanding of my attention issues. I completed the TOVA test (a computer based game that measures reaction time over the course of about 20 minutes) and conversed with a doctor about my scores and medical history, to which she said I did not have any attention issues based on my scores. That was the only assessment I took, before and during my time there.nnIt took me 1 minute of light googling to find research that said TOVA tests must be taken as a part of a comprehensive diagnosis process, but cannot be the only indicator. For example, if you like and can engage with video games (which is all the TOVA test really is), you can get normal scores across the board but still have ADHD. One article I read even said people should completely disregard a normal report from the test.nnThe fact that Focus MD is hinging an entire diagnosis off one game that lasted less than half an hour is concerning. If you’re an adult looking for an accurate diagnosis, go somewhere else.

Nice and friendly staff. Dr. Gillespie is very sweet and attentive to my child. Since the Covid quarantine, they have been very excellent at getting prescriptions filled and most consults are done over the phone or online video chat. In the past (like some others have mentioned in the past reviews) I've had issues with the receptionist and phone no being answered and hard to reach their offices. I don't think that person is working there any longer as I haven't had many issues with getting my calls answered and need met.

My child is taken care of from the time we walk in and exit. Although there are times that we may not be seen on time, it doesn't change how he's seen. He is given the amount of time he needs for his visit as everyone else is. It's understandable if a child is needing more than another. I don't think some parents stop to think about this but they should. I noticed also that someone commented on calls back from the office. I always get a call back when I leave a message on the voicemail for the front. I guess you would have to leave a voicemail to know that though.

I love Dr. Bouler. She’s friendly, understanding and helpful. HOWEVER, If you ever have to call this office, they never answer the phone. You have to leave a voicemail and a lot of times they do not call you back but even if they did, no one has time to play phone tag. It’s frustrating and ridiculous.
