My daughter and I had been walking around the Wharf for a few hours and got a bit famished. We decided to stop at The Southern Grind Coffee House for a bite to each. I ordered a burger with mozzarella cheese. It was really good. Caught me by surprise. Didn't expect such a delicious burger from a coffee house. Also had a strawberry banana smoothie and it was also really good. Would definitely go back.
Great little spot to hang come rain or shine. It's a little noisy, but that's fairly typical of a modern coffee shop. The service is nice and fun and communicative, but the last few times I've been they've been more ready for me to stop asking questions than to help me figure out what they have to offer. Which is the biggest problem in my opinion, they offer some great stuff but it isn't easy to figure everything available. Everywhere I looked there was something else I could have gotten and no one seemed to want to help me or upsale anything. Now for the positive: awesome atmosphere! Awesome specials and food! Awesome caffeine and non-caffeine drinks! The prices aren't too bad unless you want to buy a trinket on one of the many displays. Everything has been very clean. I keep coming back because it's clean, good and the atmosphere so very welcoming. Thanks Southern Grind!
Wonderful shop! Really friendly staff and wonderful selection of drinks we tried the Honey Bee Lavender Latte with are strawberry croissant yummyud83dudc4d.was able to purchase bags of coffee and they ship it also so I can get my fill when back home. Recommend if visiting Orange Beach. This place captures what a coffee house should be at the beach.
We drove by this charming and inviting place on our way to breakfast and decided to try it. The charm stopped when we went to give our order. She was not helpful and I felt like I was a nuisance to her. I am a patient person and felt she could be having a bad day. I tried giving kindness back. Not happening. They got our order wrong and was there were items we didn’t order too that we were charged for. The WORSE part is my bacon had a short dark hair on it and my 5 year old had the same type of hair on her waffle ( we all have long blonde hair except for my husband who is completely grey. When I took it back to show them they were flippant about it. Didn’t apologize or anything. Oh and my husband asked for sugar and they rudely answered where he could get it. I called back to let the manager know and she offered to replace my food. I was in the car headed back. , but I wouldn’t take another chance anyway. She seemed flippant as well. I was sadden by this as it put a damper on our vacation that day.
This place was awesome. Great food and wonderful selection of gifts. My wife loved shopping while the kids and I ate lunch and topped it off with gelato. I was able to have a Guinness and Cold Brew which was on special so even some adult beveragesud83dude01. Place was beautiful and clean bathrooms. Highly recommend
