As a graduate i can tell you this place will give you a great education. Please understand this is a bible college which means it is to prepare people to go into ministry. For those of you have no plans to go into ministry look for another college. If you want practical useful ministry than this the place for you. Billy Thornton is great person not just a teacher but mentor and friend. his youth ministry class help shaped me in some many ways

My time at Southeastern Bible College prepared me for ministry in ways I never would've expected! I learned how to appropriately make myself a student of the Word of God. If you never learn how to study the Scripture then you will never be adequately able to teach them; SEBC helped me develop a passion for study and rightly handling of the Word of Truth!

Been going here every year for the first priority leadership summit and the staff have always been great. Not sure how being a student here compares, but they make a great first impression.

As a current student I can tell you that you will not find a better biblical institution. From your basic core bible classes to deep enriching theology. The reviews currently on here that are less than five stars were either due to self-inflicted injury or complete misunderstanding. Yes reformed theology is taught at our school, but to say that everyone here is reformed is a long stretch. Students aren't forced to choose a theology but are instructed on the differences and taught how to make a decision based upon biblical teachings. We are so blessed to have a staff that could be teaching anywhere else but instead decided to teach here. The investments made by them toward the student body does more than just show in the students behavior, it's something that they will be able to carry with them wherever they go. If you are called to ministry then look no further for a better school because we would love you have you!

I graduated from SEBC in 2009 with a degree in Bible and Theology and an emphasis in counseling. I am so grateful for my experience there. It's a small school which meant that I was able to interact in the classes and with professors a lot - something that I felt really enriched the learning.nnAs a counselor, I actively engage the skills I learned at SEBC every day. When I went on to graduate school, I was more than prepared to take on the course work and certainly equipped with meaningful counseling skills. Furthermore, because of SEBC's emphasis in theology, I am better able to understand how what my client's believe about their relationship with God impacts the struggles they are facing.nnI highly recommend SEBC to anyone planning on going into ministry, becoming a counselor, or with ambitions to become a college professor. It's a really wonderful school.
