For those complaining about lack of electricity, keep in mind it DID have electricity not long ago. This campground was hit hard by the same tornado a few years ago that also damaged the main Guntersville State Park campground. All of the money for repairs went to the main campground.nnThe sunset views from this waterfront park are to die for! Being able to watch our kids playing in the water from the bed inside our tent, made for priceless memories.

Sorry but they let us down big time! We called to reserve a pontoon for Friday or Saturday. They didn’t have any. We did reserve a 17 ft bass boat for today. We got there at 11:35 and were told there was a mix up and no boats were available. We received deposit back and left. Got a call from them after we were back at campground and said they did have a boat. We already were set up on beach and declined. Really sorry we did not get to explore this beautiful lake. Oh well.....

My favorite boat ramp.

Lots to say about this spot! First of all, operations are seasonal here so amenities are limited in winter months and the store is closed. It's easy to get to and in a good location close to very good fishing spots. The store sells snacks and drinks as well as tackle and bait. You can also purchase fishing license here. There is a boat ramp on both sides of the highway, a few docks, and a fishing pier. They have a non ethanol gas pump at the dock to fuel your boat. Little tip: they typically close by 4 or 5 during the open season, so plan your gas stops accordingly, wouldn't hurt to call ahead for hours, don't trust google. They have several pontoons, bass boats, canoes, and kayaks for rent. For a daily fee, there is primitive campgrounds and day use picnic area with grills. There are restrooms available for the campgrounds. The folks that run the place are super helpful and friendly. It is a state park, so the fees are supporting the state park and wildlife programs. It really is a nice place to visit whether your looking to fish, camp, or just hang out for a while and enjoy the scenery.
