We own properties in many areas of Alabama and Guntersville is by far the worst to deal with so we replace ALL gas units with electric in this city.

I will be converting to electric as soon as I can. These people are rude and do not need to be in the customer service industry. They charged me a reconnect fee when my gas was not even disconnected. $30 dollars for a service they did not provide. Also I called to speak with a manager and she would not get on the phone to handle my problem. Very disappointingnnI Will be going over their heads to get something done about this. I may not be able to get my money back but hopefully I can help someone else from having to pay them this ridiculous fee for absolutely no reason.

My mother in law had a terrible experience with Marshall County Gas about a month ago when a new chip was installed in her meter. I see also that another person had the same experience and her bill was also $90.00. That's amazing that 2 people in different parts of the district used the same amount of gas that they had not been charged for.. since January of 2015! It took you that long to realize there was a problem with her chip? Are you kidding me? My mother in law's bill is normally $17 - $19. The most it's probably ever been was around $40. She is a widow and manages money well, but still imagine her surprise when she gets a bill for $90 that she was expecting to be less than $20 AFTER the serviceman ASSURED her that her bill would not go up. And to the rude woman (I am being kind in my description of her) in customer service that took her call, my mother in law may be older than you and a widow, but she's not an idiot. I searched for names of the Gas District's board members, unfortunately, I couldn't find their names or they would have a gotten a visit in person. I would LOVE for anyone else that had this new chip experience to post their love for this natural gas supplier as well. The only good note, she said the serviceman was very polite and respectful.
