This is a neat little museum if you're interested in George Washington and that time period. They have several original items and documents of Washington's and many other family heirlooms. They also have original documents from several other founding fathers and presidents. The curator knows all about Washington's life; I learned several things I'd never heard before.

It took me three weeks to get a chance to go see this museum after hearing about it. I was very excited to make a video on it for those who could not make it to see it. (We explore local places and try to get folks interested in history) I was really disappointed that they would not let me video. Keep in mind that there is no fee to enter the museum. There were three or four rooms of stuff, but none were directly related to Washington, just very distant relatives. Be careful as there are glass pieces sitting on tables and open shelving. Not recommended for children. It was very hard to read the writings and with it behind the glass, it was almost impossible. It would have been nice if they had been typed out. I can think of several needed improvements.

Thoroughly enjoyed the museum, and the historical context provided by Don the curator was excellent. Exhibits include original documents, paintings, busts, and family heirlooms. A wonderful collection!
