My sister and I volunteered there for a few months last summer and the people there are extremely nice and take good care of the animals. They help you out as much as they can and are very reasonable with adoption.
My son adopted my daughter a puppy. Two days after having it home he got very ill. Took him to vet and he was full of worms and had parvo. When he was adopted we was informed he had been wormed and was given his first set if shots. We spent alot of money on vet bill and medications. We lost the poor baby yesterday. We are very heart broken. This could have been avoided if they would have tested for parvo when puppy arrived, wormed him like they said they did, and made sure he got what shots he needed. Adpotion is a great thing but when things like this happens it makes people not want to adopt.
A lot of people have jobs and can only go when they are off work, and the schedule of the facility is a work day schedule that society's run on. They need to rotate their work hours to flex around the domain of public work day. Plus their work ethics need to be put in check by another outside source.
The place is so filthy and it could use a good clean up, and the dogs seem hot and thirsty all the time but they exercise the dogs well
