This church has made it VERY clear that they have no interest in new members or interested in a catholic who has not been to church in a very long time. After numerous emails and phone calls, I received two email responses from the secretary. One stating the hours of the church, and the number of one of the priests. After leaving a message and a few emails I receive NO response. This went on for a week.nnWhat I thought of the Catholic Church has just been proven to me by the actions of this local church. So if your interested in a church, this IS NOT the one to visit since clearly newcomers are not welcomed. On an aside, I did contact the archdiocese of West Virginia and logged a formal complaint.

We don't get to Summersville often but manage to attend St. John's 5 pm Mass two or three times a year. We always feel at home and are welcomed by the parishioners and Father Cooney.
