Great place to hang out and enjoy nature but not a good place to launch your boat! The area at the ramp is very shallow and it makes it very hard to launch without getting hung up in the mud. They need to dredge it out and then it would be a good place to go boating!

Nice and very cool but it wasn't open. Just walked around the outside. Going to go back another time

It is a good place to see ducks, geese, herons, trumpeter swans and other shorebird wildlife. Other songbirds are also present in the trees around. Occasionally I have seen black rat snakes (non venomous so not dangerous as such) cross the biking trail. The walking/biking trail goes over a bridge and you get a view of a railway bridge from it, so you can get some cool photos of bridges too.nn* Do NOT feed ducks or geese please, they get enough natural food from the river

I have yet to visit the fort, but there are great walking trails there.
