Had a pleasant experience. Was able to get assessed for taxes over the phone and got to pay everything online. The woman I spoke to was polite, efficient and friendly.

Anytime and everytime I have ever came here I've always have had a pleasant experience the women that work here have always been helpful for me to get the info that I need and I'm always done in a matter of minutes from what I can tell they are always professional and civil when treated in the same manner which I do always remember to have patience when someone has to look up your information also make sure you have all your information more you have your things together the easier and smoother things will go on both sides

Someone in County Government needs to do a real housekeeping of the discourteous and unprofessional staff in this office. And the their level of compassion for Senior Citizens and the working poor of Marion County WV is sorely lacking. They seem to be so caught up in their entrenched bureaucracy that they have lost touch with the people. And when any public servant does that it is time for them to go! The people in that office seem to have forgotten that they are here to SERVE the people and are not our masters. And the voters needs to kick the County Assessor, James P. Priester,out of office in his next re-election bid. He prefers to hide out in his office rather than face taxpayers who come into see him. I think this whole office has forgotten who pays their salaries!

This office is very disorganized, and the assessors are lazy and unprofessional. They feel no inclination to help people and are incredibly rude to those who ask. They act as though they the citizens are beneath them, and they have some sort of power over us. Getting any information from anybody at this courthouse is always like pulling teeth, and nobody seems to know what they are talking about.
