This review is based on my experience with the personal training services. My personal trainer, Ginger Benson, is simply outstanding! She plans tough but fun workouts and is 100% focused on my form and tolerance level. In a short 6 weeks, I've toned and become more agile. Her knowledge of physical fitness and nutrition is evident in the guidance she provides. All of at the staff is friendly and attentive to my needs!

Very upset...... I’ve been a member of golds gym for years. COVID happened and I continued to pay hoping COVID would go away. It didn’t, I called golds a month ago and asked them to cancel my membership. She said okay, and that was it. I called back to check on it due to an email that I received and they didn’t cancel it. I asked them to please cancel and they are still charging me. I can’t workout because I have asthma and I can’t wear a mask while working out. I’m all about paying my bills and taking care of what I owe but this is just unbelievable. I’m paying for their mistake after years of commitment to golds.

I drove 1.5 hours to go to this gym, because it was the closest one open to me. I am extremely impressed with this gym, and if I lived closer, it would be my home gym. Thank you so much for the hospitality and the option to sign up for a month, no strings attached. The customer service was incredibly friendly as well, and the site was clean. A few employees were constantly around cleaning everything and were eager to clean any equipment you were finished using. Everyone in the gym was there to workout, and they were putting in work which I appreciate. The gym has an old school gym vibe to it, and I love it.

Golds failed to cancel membership and charged fees for several months despite multiple conversations with management via telephone, email and in person regarding cancellation. Golds refuses to reimburse the erroneous charges despite providing written documentation between member and management. Membership cancelled due to moving out of state pursuant to a divorce. Now divorcee has to incur additional costs to get refunded money they shouldn’t have been charged to start with.

The staff is clueless. I asked for my membership to be placed on hold and then requested it be cancelled due to Covid. My state (VA) was closer then the gym shortly thereafter. They told me to call corporate...corporate said they don’t handle that and to call locally. I called locally and they said they’d do that. Today I received a notice that I’ve been taken to collections for $275! No calls. No emails. No texts. No letters. Nothing! No explanation as to what, how, or why this happened. Nobody is helping locally and so I’ll just have to see them in court. What a joke! The gym smells awful, the equipment is always broken, the ladies room has 1 functioning sink, and the service and sanitation is awful. Don’t waste your time here.
