Jumping into a new sport, a sport already intimidating to begin with, and being a girl was enough to make the first trip a bit nerve wracking. From the very first visit though I always felt welcomed and comfortable. I really enjoy the freedom to work at my own pace, and the professional instructors are absolute top notch in my opinion. They are always willing and able to help work pads, work on technique, spar, or just offer motivation and encouragement (and the occasional joke) throughout my workout. I really value the feeling of being a “part of something” whenever I am there and I look forward to getting better and honing my skills as I progress.
