As a family we frequent the zoo almost monthly. This zoo is very well kept and the staff is friendly. I really enjoy the meet the trainer shows that they put on daily. There is a new exhibit that is being built and I am excited to see the new animals. The zoo isn't too big nor is it too small. It takes about 3 hours to walk through. They also have a splash pad open during the summer and a huge playground for kids. Definitely a place to visit if you are in town and want to enjoy yourself. It is close to the highway and about 3 minutes to I-10.

This is a great weekend get away with the family. They have outdoor dining area of you want to have a little gather amongst friends. Great place for kids. Also they have tons of icy places to cool you down.

I don't know why people give it 4-5 stars even where the animals are sad, hiding looking for shade, there are few animals.nThey require that children over 2 years of age wear the face mask. Anyway, this zoo sucks, it is better to go to any other park for the children to have fun.nThe animals are sad and seem to be hungry, the space where they are is small.

Really liked this zoo. Exhibits are really beautiful. In many of the exhibits they incorporate a waterfall which is a nice touch. I just wish they had a bigger gift shop. It's rather small and items are limited.

Tiny zoo. We got a family pass and and go there for an hour every week or so. So glad they are open now. The Chihuahuan desert exhibit is very cool. Watch your kids at the playground; it gets very Lord of the Flies there very fast.
