This was a great museum and really set the groundwork for our coastal vacation. Learned about the entire area, indigenous people, french, Spanish, and later European settlements.

Very clean and informative place! Pretty cool to learn about a shipwreck discovered here in Texas and the history of the coastal region

This was a very cool museum. The admission is free, but please make a nice donation. We were expecting to pay to get in, so we put in what we thought we were going to spend.nnThere are some nice artifacts and lots to read. It kinda takes you back in time & shows you how life was way back when. They have evidence of inhabitants going back 13,000 years. That's right - that's their claim. Pretty fascinating. If only we could actually time travel ...nnThey have a nice gift shop. Some toys & trinkets, books, shirts, the usual.nnIf you're into history, especially Texas history, this is a must-see for you.
