Now called Post Acute Medical Specialist: New BuildingnNursing top notch. Nursing was on the ball most days and nights. I had to change sheets a few times; as aides aren’t always on the clock. But most nurses were caring; timely and compassionate to serious health issues. Only see hospitality’s drs now. The physical therapy needs new techniques in working with patients. If they have medical health issues beyond broken bones; they need adaptation on how to work with elderly with medical issues. They force you to do activities that cause patients complications. You don’t need to climb stairs with diarreah! It seemed like a scam. They left an 80 year old woman in a wheelchair with serious back and broken leg to wheel all the way back to room alone. Every day! This woman was in tears and serious pain. Left her in hallway trying to wheel herself to lie down after her hours of therapy! Don’t leave your loved ones there alone! Like every minute it’s about charging Medicare for each service and are NOT asking patients; what do you need to do at home to function. They caused more emotional and physical trauma! And the food? Nothing fresh. If you have digestive diseases; so sorry! We only have instant potatoes. Sandwiches. Fruit with seeds. They didn’t have fresh. Clean. Healthy food. Everything including portions was a joke! If you need serious healthy options. Don’t go here!

The staff are not receptive to family input and are incapable of critical thinking. The licensed staff are rude and enjoy making family feel uncomfortable. Night charge nurse Marissa is a rude condescending person that was threatened by someone with more nursing experience and a far greater knowledge base and made it a point to make our family's experience miserable. The nursing staff and physicians do not know the first thing about end-of-life care and making a patient comfortable during the process. The nurses do not advocate for their patients because, in my opinion, they do not possess the critical thinking skills or intelligence to do so. It is unfortunate that this hospital has to rely on substandard nursing to provide care to patients with a such a high acuity. I recommend finding another facility for your loved one if long-term acute care is needed. And yes we did notify administration and the Board of Nursing regarding the sub-standard care and borderline negligent nursing care.

The staff took exceptional care of my Dad. Thanks to Warm Springs he is on his way to a complete recovery after a long illness.
