I rented a car for my daughter at this company. I live three hours away so I used my credit card for her. The reservation was in her name. When she got there they said they could not do it that way she is over 25. She offered to use her own credit card. They could not just switch credit cards they said so to cancel and rent the card the rental car was much higher. When I called into customer service they offered no solution to this and in fact just told me have a nice day. I have heard this about Avis up charging people when they in fact get there. I have heard they find ways to cheat people out of gas and find things wrong. I have a real problem that they could not have honored the price I paid when the reservation was in her name. Also if they can not do that why was I able to do it on their website? I also if I had made the reservation in my name could you not switch payment methods when you got there. They said “no”. That is another way they find to up their car rental price. I have never had this problem with other companies. I am posting this to Facebook and trying now to tell people to never rent here. Poor customer service.
Let this be a warning! If i can rate this place negative (-) 5 star, I would. Never go to the Avis/Budget store along Bryant Irving. I booked an SUV on 1/29/21 for a planned trip on spring break with my family. I was suppose to pick up the vehicle 11:30 am on 3/13/21 since we depart 2 pm that same day. So that day came but around 8:30 AM they called me only to say they canceled my reservation. They said they cannot provide the SUV. What the heck! Unimaginable! Immediately I was in crisis mode! Had to drive to the airport to get a new booking. Luckily there was a unit available. Imagine the stress that we had to go through! Jezzzzzz....
Their vehicles are always dirty and obviously not sanitized between drivers. They charged me for fuel when I have the receipt to show that it was paid for. However, I have been unable to speak to someone who is willing to reimburse me. Support number directed me to local office. Local office directed me to support. I have been waiting for a manager to call me back for over two hours. I am a preferred member and cannot get a simple reimbursement.
This rental location is the best I have been to so far. Their vehicles were clean, the customer service was excellent! I came from a rental locations I had been experiencing issues with and its safe to say I am never going to another rental location. The lady who helped me her name was Laura or Lauren I think she was very efficient, explained everything in detail even showed me a couple features on the Ford that I had not driven before. Will be a regular!
Terrible service will be going to enterprise from now on.charged more money than quoted and long story why.But i felt like i needed to warn others .Dont go here .Enterprise is much better.Rude people on top of that.Dont do it people dont go there fair warning to good people..I feel its my civic duty to warn others
