Great option for a small community. Rusk county has multiple libraries so you can always get a book from a different library if the Overton one doesn't have it.
I love this small town library. It is part of a library system where if they don't have a book odds are one of the branches will have it and they can request it for you so you don't have to go drive to get it yourself. You might have to wait a bit but I love to read so I can always find something I will like! They have a GREAT kids story time and kids section. I really enjoy all the extra programs and classes offered as well. I didn't mind the chatter amongst staff, a quiet room always makes me feel uncomfortable and out of place. I didn't try the computers but my kids loved the ones in the kids room.
Very friendly staff and beautiful library, but computers were loaded down with spam and wouldn't work (I tried 3 different ones) plus the selection of books isn't very broad, all of the books I wanted ( i looked up over 12) they had at other library's where I would have had to wait minimum two weeks to get one in which was super disappointing. The movie selection is pretty good for kids so that's a plus and they do have decent wifi if u bring ur own computer. If it wasn't for the slow computers and the book problems I would have given more stars.
