My wife and I have had the opportunity to work with Wright's Pawn & Jewelry on two different occasions recently and we cannot speak more highly of their expertise and the fairness of their business dealings with us. On both occasions, we worked extensively with James, who was very knowledgeable about the provenance and the value of a number of estate items that we were interested in learning more about, and potentially selling. James took all the time needed to properly assess our items, and to make us comfortable with the information and valuations that he provided, and with the purchase price of the pieces we ended up choosing to sell to him. We will be back, and will recommend Wright Pawn & Jewelry to our friends.
All the jewelry is reasonably priced, they buy at a good price, and the lady who helped me was very knowledgeable about all of the merchandise I looked at. They gave good advice and were very honest. I appreciate places like this since some of these types of places will try to scam you or give you false information. I will definitely be back if I am in need of more jewelry/purses!
This was my first time ever getting a loan from a pawnshop. I called Wright Jewelry and Pawnshop and spoke with James. He explained everything in a straight forward manner. I went to the store and James helped me. He made it easy and painless. Within 20 minutes I walked out with the cash I needed. Thanks James for a positive experience.
I went in today to authenticate a piece of jewelry and James was very helpful, patient and detailed about my piece! Great place with such great merchandise!!
Long story— I want to first say, as angry as I am about this, the owner seems like a very nice man and it’s nothing personal I have against him. What I write below is about my overall experience from beginning until end and is all business related.nnSo here is my experience here. The woman who is the manager conducts herself very unprofessionally and insulted me on the phone in reference personally and to specific coats I was trying to sell (I was getting a general idea before I took the hour long plus drive to the shop) to the extent the owner did call me and apologized on her behalf which I thought was professional on his part, but insane to keep a person employed in my business like that. Still he seemed like a very nice man and we had a good conversation on the phone when he called back.nnI’ve ran my own buisness in the customer eye 20+ years and would never keep somebody employed on my payroll like that that treats a customer like that. Contrary to how I was treated, due to the Owner contacting me back, we had worked it out and he invited me to his store to do some business possibly. (By the way, to the manager I FIRST spoke with that insulted my item—the “Kippy’s”Jacket you had never heard of that you thought was “ugly” that had all the natural crystals and all 100% leather sold a week later for $2,500 dollars, you could have bought it for $500, tried explaining that to you). I recommend you going to Kippys.com like I advised you then.nnSo moving on, I also brought a nice authentic Canadian Lynx Full length Fur Coat to the store along with many other jackets and coats to look at for consideration. The Lynx coat was turned down even with $14,000 insurance papers, I was told it doesn’t get cold enough to purchase fur coats here so that was a no go, I sold a couple leather jackets for bottom of barrel prices that still had tags attached but at time needed the extra cash from some tough times going on at that time. I went from that store, to my vehicle to, to my home to meet my parents coming over to drop some paperwork work off at my house.nnI made zero stops. I unloaded the batch of coats and thought nothing of it. Sometime later I noticed my Lynx fur was NOT in the pile which means it was left either by myself or the person assisting me in loading the items back in my vehicle back at store. I immediately called the store and asked them to review the cameras because they told me they did not have my Lynx fur coat. They gave me several excuses but finally the audio /Camera tech person contacted me and said they didn’t have a whole lot of explanation and it was a lot of footage, etc..nnIn other words, I never really got an answer except what was repeated in defense was “we don’t have it”..I feel little behind the scenes was done and never got another phone call back even though a follow up call was supposed to be made to me. Guess what? Still no coat after all this time. Honestly, I worked with law enforcement several years in the past and I have no reason to make it up and I have been waiting for you to do the right thing since you had my phone number on file not only from the research you were supposed to be doing on lost item but also on items you bought off of me and please make this right.nnThat coat carried great sentimental value and if I had not needed to sell it at the time, it would not have even came with me that day..which in turn you didn’t buy anyway. Honestly, I thought it was a toss up..I thought it was more than likely an accident or a misunderstanding, etc.. after being left there but then after being made aware of the situation and the fact I had left the coat on the other side of the register while I was pulling my license out for you, I figured some time after I left, since so many people were at the register including your manager that looked at it as well, I was puzzled why I didn’t get a call.nnI feel litterly stolen from. Hope somebody was warm during the freeze we had this year in Texas with my coat, because my closet is still missing a coat.
