Buying used guns here is a very good idea, they do verify functionality and they have a great warranty with highly skilled, in-house, gunsmiths who can fix darn near anything. All new and used is guaranteed in-house. I love that. I brought a mid-60's malfunctioning revolver from another shop, where the other gunsmith told me that the gun could not be fixed, and the gunsmith at Collector's repaired it easily for less than 100 bucks. This place does business honorably, and in the current market of guns (new and used) that's really saying something. I would happily give them 5 stars, but I'm embarrassed to admit that I just paid $100 for a 50-round box of 45 colt. Collector's does have lots of obscure calibers of ammo, but even the common stuff is getting up to nosebleed prices. (yes we all understand the shortage). EDIT: Raised my review to 5 stars based on the “owner response” to another review explaining ammo pricing and the increased wholesale price that Collectors pays in order to stock hard to find calibers. Respectable. This shop does business far more honorably than many. Cheap prices generally mean you are on your own with warranty issues, which is not the case here.

Great selection of all things related to guns. However that comes at a cost; both financially and psychologically. Be prepared to over pay for everything and be treated like you are not worthy of their time and/or knowledge.nDisclaimer: This is based on several visits over multiple years and purchases. I have had a very few great experiences with a select group of associates but that is the exception and not the rule.

Heavy price gouging on handgun ammo. Too bad. It's a great place to look around at interesting firearms. $29 box of Sig .380 for $89. Crazy. And don't blame it on the current market. I find ammo at reasonable prices everyday.nnGo early in the morning to Academy instead to get your ammo. They can tell you which days it comes in. Only 2 boxes per customer but they don't gouge you.nnThen go browse the firearms for fun.

CHRISTIAN are extremely knowledgeable, courteous, HELPFUL and willing to go the extra mile EVERY SINGLE time I visit this establishment as a patron.nnAs a MULTIPLE business owner, these 2 gentleman are the type of EMPLOYEES that I will PRAY all night to have. Best shopping experience yet again! Firearms collectors has never let me down. This was only possible because , of Nathan. He was really great at the service he provided to my friend and I, and was really knowledgeable of the questions we would ask. Definitely coming back. 11/10
