This store has a lot of stuff that I like, but I always have to try to bear with their sales associates. I was the only customer in the store and there was 2 associates, but none of them bothered to offer me setting up the fitting room even though they clearly saw me with a bunch of clothing. Just a few stores apart, Banana Republic always has outstanding cuctomer service.

I was really surprised at the service. While checking out the lady tore away the coupon that I presented and then later told me it can’t be used on that purchase. I was surprised as she said I can buy anything else in store and she can use coupon on new purchase - the torn one. What kind of service and professional behavior is that!

Staff stood around talking about scheduling and lunch break times when we were the only customers in the store - and we needed help. No one offered to help us get a dressing room started (I had to ask). Then when looking for the matching skirt for a suit, we got a lecture about the band types at the top of all their skirts (literally all we wanted was one size in the matching skirt to a suit top). After 3 tries to ask whether a skirt even existed, or even just where in the store the matching set would be, It got so frustrating that we gave up.nnWhen there are lots of people in a store, it makes sense that you can’t pay attention to every customer. But to stand around chatting, and then waste our time when we have a simple question is just beyond.

It’s not common for me to leave a negative review, ever. I am compelled to raise awareness and perhaps AT will take in consideration quality sales associates to improve their business.nI am a business owner, and been an Ann Taylor loyal customer for over 13 years. Over the years I came across many good and not so kind sales associates here.nThis was way out of alignment. Walked in to store 7:06pm on Friday, doors were still open, not realizing store closes at 7. Young woman rushed to me and without any hesitation or curtesy “ mam, you can’t be here, we’re closed.” When I replied that door still open and I didn’t realize store closes at 7. She didn’t even bother to take responsibility and apologizing for any of it. And rudely escorted me to the door. “We’re actually leaving now ourselves “nnThis is it for me. I can buy much quality items for the same price, elsewhere. No more Ann Taylor.
