Good wine, good location.nnStopped at slate mill for the first time a few days ago and I'm glad I did. Good patio. Nice food truck (we got their shrimp basket). Good wine tastings. I felt like their classic tastings was a good mix of different expressions they sell. Ended up leaving with a few bottles.nnA little confusing when you first turn in off the highway - gotta turn to the right and drive along a little road to get back to their tasting room and parking area.nnVery friendly staff. Good to talk to them about their wines and their operation.nnLower patio had cool fire pit / conversation areas which would be cool to check out if it gets colder.nnEveryone seemed to be well-masked and I appreciated the hand-sanitizing stations they had set up around their tasting room.nnOverally, I recommend you check these folks out. I look forward to seeing new releases from the Slate Mill Collective.

So I am not much of a wine person and wanted to try it out. This place was my favorite one. Staff was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The location is beautiful, pretty close to town, and had a great patio. The owner was walking around talking to everyone, very engaged. Had enough food that both my fiancee (vegan) and I (omni) could get something tasty.

Great experience doing a tasting and some glasses of wine. Angela took great care of us. She’s awesome, knowledgeable, personable and just fun to hang with talking about wine. Will definitely be back.

This place is awesome and the staff are fantastic. Wacy and Josh took care of us. Very generous wine pours for the tasting menu, good music, gorgeous setting and a great Cajun style food truck on site (order the gumbo). Highly recommend this place for chilling out with a wine tasting and it is very kid friendly. Thanks to Wacy and Josh for the hospitality also they extended closing by an hour because the entire place was having such a great time!

Matteo and Elle, served me and my wife and they were both amazing, very good attitude. . Very good atmosphere. Good wine, pretty casual and friendly, plus very knowledgeable about wine, good communication with customers. Excellent hospitality.
