My two sons, ages 20 and 12, got dive certified in mid-March over 3 days from Maximum SCUBA. Their instructor Jeff was outstanding... He was patient and his easy demeanor and “not in a hurry” attitude made our kids feel at ease. They supplied an extra instructor for the open water dive, which was awesome since Jeff could focus on my 12 year old. The water was very cold but they decked them out with thick wetsuits - my younger actually had on two! - and it wasn’t an issue. The kids did great and are looking forward to diving with us in the ocean - as soon as possible! Thank you for the great experience.

My PADI open water class was fantastic! Jeff Gordon, the master diver instructor, took a very no stress approach to teaching. It felt like I was being taught by a good friend! He has great people skills and is good at teaching you what you need to know to get in the water and feel comfortable and confident. He made the class fun, allowing students to ask questions and go at a comfortable pace. In the water you felt complete trust and that you were in the hands of a professional! The lake you dive in is literally right outside of your classroom… And all your equipment usage is included with the training, so you don’t have to come out of pocket for anything upfront. His staff was friendly and professional! We all had meals together and shared stories and laughs. Great training and very good people! Highly recommend :)

Completed the Open Water Diving certification 3 weekends ago (starting on Friday) with my dad. Jeff, the instructor who runs the course/training, is extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of scuba diving and is truly a master at his craft. Jeff, and his assistant instructor Jason, clearly explained each skill that would be necessary to safely dive while enjoying the one-of-a-kind experience. He patiently helped us through a variety of different skills (mask skills, entree into water, exiting the water, etc.) and was very receptive to any and all questions we had. He ensured we were confident and comfortable with each skill prior to moving to the next one. The training consisted of practice dives in the pool as well as the lake where the company building is located. The training requires thorough reading of the PADI Open Water Diving manual prior to practical training starting (the practice dives themselves).nnOverall, very satisfied with the quality and cost of the training, as Jeff and his team are the best of the best. 5/5 stars!nnNote: I was actually able to put the skills and training to the test the following weekend in Costa Rica on my first open water dive outside of training (#5 overall including training). Needless to say, my dad and I were both able to fit right in with the pack of more experienced divers seamlessly given the confidence we had after completely the certification with Jeff.

Maximum Scuba was great to work with. Jeff and Daniella worked with me on short notice to get me set up for the open water diver course. Their instruction is very thorough, and they do well tailoring to their students and ensuring that everyone is receiving the training necessary to be a safe and successful diver. Beyond that, the price for a course here also covers nice rental equipment that is very well maintained.

Maximum Scuba is amazing the dive master Jeff Gordon and his team are awesome and keeps you educated through all the 3 day courses. Their guidence and patients is perfect for new and even seasoned divers if questions are asked it is encouraged, just enjoyed all about my experience being new to diving, don't ever be afraid to say I'm unsure being safe and secure in your water environment is very important. I'm going to advance to the next step in my diving education and so excited! Jeff and team thank you for the wonderful experience in diving, the adventures will be true memories!!
