Great small town feel! Town Hall staff are super friendly. My family has attended Double Oak Police Department's National Night Out, 4th of July Parade, Easter Egg Hunt and many other awesome events the town holds. As for the other reviews, yes traffic enforcement occurs in Double Oak, and it makes sense. There are no shoulders or sidewalks for people to walk, bicycle etc on and the roads are hilly in some areas.

They gave my daughter a ticket for no front platenwent to the county got new plates took it to them with new registration. They tell us that we need to bring the car to them to make sure I know how to put the plates on .nCalled 5 other cities most said they should have given her a warning only. They all laughed about the bringing in the car to make sure the plates on the car Really. The new registration says lost front plate replacing with new ones . They have nothing to do but collect stupid fines.

I had the worst experience ..with municipal court secretary..i called in for an extension on a payment due on monday..and i asked if i could see judge and her answer was NO...i told her we had a medical family emergency..and we nedded extra time.. she did not sympathize at all..i do believe that she belongs somewhere else..i felt like shes not qualified for her position..and i do have alot of RESPECT for our officers ..but none for her...

This place is what I call a court of fraud. The officers I respect I have 0 respect for the staff and the sitting judge. This court house issued me 2 tickets 1 for speeding which I wasn't the cop used radar which means he could have picked up the car ahead or me and he chose me the slower driver. Then I had a ticket from 5 years ago then made my license get suspended. I was unaware of it. So I got a ticket for that as well. Anyways long story short got the ticket from 5 years ago dismissed and fixed license and handled defensive driving for the speeding ticket. Anyways this court conned me. I had my defensive driving record sent to the on 3 different occasions and they denied ever getting it. But I have my defensive driving certificate copy. But they never got any. Anyways I had my show cause hearing and they didn't even let me talk or show my receipt of completing defensive driving. These people took my 120 for defensive driving and extra 340 for ticket of no completion when I spent 75 for defensive driving. These people are thieves. Small court dehonest people. Don't even drive through this city. Currently working to take them court. Scammers.
