Larkspur Elementary School

this school tests horrible and if your child has any kind of learning problems like a slow learner and such they dont really cater to those children and then when the staar test comes they throw them under the bus horrible school. plus they have a HUGE bullying problem and it starts out in kinder so far my kid through the years has been urinated on punched choked slapped kicked and more plus they made fun of him because of his ethnicity and now they are just bad this is the worst school i regret ever sending him here if only i had known i could have gotten a thing so we could have sent him to a better school in the district.

I am very disappointed with the school this year. My dual language student's grades dropped significantly. The year started wrong since supposedly the teacher had quit, my dual language student was without a teacher for several weeks, then they hired someone it was a foreign, elderly teacher who til this day is not familiar with the school system and is very unorganized, the kids did not have homework for several weeks after his arrival, he now expects the kids to know certain subjects that he is suppose to teach them, like, Math kids at this grade are learning division and this teacher is not teaching them!!!!!! I am extremely concerned for my son and the only thing I was told by the assistant principal is to speak with the teacher which I have and I get nothing solved!!!!!! or I get told that it is too late in the school year to do anything!!!!! SO DISAPPOINTED!!!! and CONCERNED!!!! My son was in after school tutoring and the teacher just dropped him without notifying me!!!! Teacher also has my son in additional school support such as WRAP and MAP and my student is not improving. I was told this teacher's class had the least amount of students (4) who passed the benchmark test (which is a practice test of the STARR test) so I know it is the teacher!!!! The new principal and staff for what I hear and am experiencing are very unorganized. This will probably be the last year I take my kids to this school.

I would give a zero but have to give a one. The reviews are low as far as success of school when compared to others. The average score on standardized testing is 8! Larkspur ranks LAST in NEISD schools and last in public schools in Texas. And the PARENTS rate Larkspur high. Why? Because the demographics of this Title l school, the parents don't know or care or they, like the students, cannot read or write or analyze data. All they care about is free babysitting and free lunches. Hopefully TEA will take over this failing school. Larkspur cannot attract quality teachers, only the dregs. No one wants to teach at Larkspur. If you're lazy and a bully it's the place for you. This is how tax dollars are spent for zero results! Who is accountable for 8% out of 100 consistently on test scores. Who is teaching? Who is learning? No one. Bottom of the barrel!

Hello people who went to this school with me 10-11 years ago which was my 3rd grade year i was there from 1st-3rd grade then i moved but the people who went there with me probably don't remember me and some of them i believe were my friends i ended up flipping desk one of my years there made the class evacuate but i would love to see my old friends and teachers from this school once again just so ya'll know who i am i am Nicholas Anthony Pierce and i don't really remember much from that school but do remember that I had fun there but of course i am blonde so i won't remember much well hope to visit the school at least soon.

I had a very bad experience with a lady I don't know if she's a teacher or a substitute her name is Mayra Garcia and she treats and talks to the children very horrible. Yesterday she had my child class after school and she was talking to my child very ugly and when my child came to me to say hello she pulled her away from me first at all a teacher or a substitute cannot grad a child by the backpack and pull her away. Then she said she was making me a FAVOR by being strict and going by the rules. I do understand that there's rules but getting physical that's another story and screaming at a parent in from of a lot of other parents that's another story too. I'm waiting for the Superintendent or Principal to call me about this issue.
