Ghetto doesn't even begin to describe the parents of this place. The school is fine, the teachers and administrators I'm sure do the best they can. But the parents are unbelievable in their behavior. DON'T send your kids here unless you want them to pick up some really bad habits.

Best elementary ever, i miss it and all the teachers and friends I made back then. I would recommend it to anyone who asked me because the education, atmosphere in this school is the best

If it weren't for the Spanish Immersion Magnet School that NISD offers through Esparza Elementary my kids wouldn't go there. The teachers and admin are exceptional but it is a Title 1 School which means that the majority of families that are sending their kids to that school are considered low-income. Regardless of where the school is located the Spanish Immersion program there is fanominal!! The amazing kids that are accepted into this program, starting in Kinder & continuing through 5th grade, are immersed in the Spanish language learning not only to speak fluently but to read and write as well. The Immersion Program continues at Sul Ross Middle School which is directly across the street from Esparza. By the end of their 8th grade year they not only have their high school Foreign Language credit but their Foreign Language College credit. I can't say enough about this program, the teachers, school admin, etc. It's worth the drive everyday to drop off and pick up your child if you live in the NISD & this is not your feeder school.
