Baskin Elementary School

Baskin used to be a good school. I’m not so sure this year. :(. You hardly ever see the principal, she doesn’t interact with the kids like our previous principal did. You hardly ever see her or the assistant principal now. They keep having continuous problems with head lice. They used to make the school fun to go to having events Christmas songs sang to the parents etc. now this year is totally different. I used to love Baskin not anymore :(

all 3 of my boys went here. 2nd 3rd and 5th. awesome teachers and staff. the will miss it as its their last year. good memories here. .

Nice school, teachers very accessible. Environments its awesome. My kids have 3 years in this school. I love it!

My son has been coming here since he was three, back then the school wasn’t as bad the old principal used too interact with the kids, made school fun, the staff seemed more happier and we always had events at the school, they also used to let the students have free dress frequently. Now with this new principal, she’s very rude isn’t very personable with the teachers, kids or staff. The staff seems so stressed under her, the students don’t have any fun events anymore and don’t have free dress anymore maybe once a year. The whole morale of the school just seems sad since the new principal arrived. The kids are terrified of making any mistakes because teachers now threaten them with no recess time if they make a mistake on homework or if they leave early as if kids don’t have doctors appointments. They have this dumb new rule they started last year that even if the kids are there past attendance time, they’ll be counted tardy if they leave early which isn’t fair to them at all. My son has adhd and they have zero educational assistance for students who have extra needs. This school just isn’t too great, I’m actually in the process of hopefully getting my son in private school. Also don’t get me started on how many teachers they’ve let go, I’ve also never seen a school recycle teachers as much as this one, one year they’re teaching first the next fifth and so on, that’s very odd.
