E.L Smith helped my family out in a hard spot. We, like many Texans, lost heat and water during the last snow storm. We ended up having some busted pipes because of it. Wait lists for plumbers were already weeks out by the time I could call. We had just had our first child, all of five days old and no heat and water. EL smith took some pity on us and came out to help with repairs within the day. Very friendly, timely and not too expensive. They have earned a loyal customer here.

Never doing business with this company. They get a 1 Star because the work got done.nWe had just moved into our new office down the road, and we figured we would support our small business neighbors. We needed some work done for our Cert. of Occupancy - water heater & P-trap under sink. Over the phone they quote me $170 an hour, plus parts and the water heater permit, but they would need to come out first to give us a better estimate. They come out and do the evaluation. I ask “170$ an hour, plus permit, plus parts, right?” He says “yes, I’ll send you the estimate when I get to the office via email.” I receive the estimate and I confirm that the estimate includes all the work needed to be done, and I get a “yes.” We agree for them to come out.nThere was some miscommunication in the morning with the plumber, but he came back and got the job... minus the air circulation issue in the water heater room, we decided to do that ourselves.nWe get the bill and it was for the FULL amount on the estimate! Even though we opted to do some of the work ourselves....So my business partner calls and questions the secretary and asks for an itemized list. They make “an adjustment” but now we have some new fees that were never mentioned before! Admin fee and overhead and project??? What in the world? We run a small business too and this is factored into our hourly rate...we don’t surprise our clients with hidden fees! If you do business with these people maybe ask for an itemized estimate to make sure they aren’t sneaking in any hidden fees.

Always never when it comes to plumbers...I heard that EL Smith was reasonably priced and professional. They did an excellent job, and they were in fact reasonable for the work they did.

Great service, on time and they helped show me where the problem was an how to avoid it in the future.
