Went to this place yesterday to check out one of my childhood best friend's art studio. Man, this place was amazing. Absolutely the most free and pure flowing creative energy I've ever seen. My human social connect/making things happen machine was going through the roof with thoughts, ideas, and inspirations it was so much fun. Made me want to do something with a studio space there. :heart_eyes_cat: :joy_cat:

Millworks is a real treasure, filled with artistic, inspiring energy. You can not walk in without feeling a surge of enthusiasm and people who do what they love. Not to mention that some of the best San Antonio artists reside there. If you are looking at doing something outstanding in San Antonio, you must put Millworks on top of your list.

Lovely tour of so many wonderful San Antonio artist studios arranged by Rex Hausmann for a Rockport Center for the Arts exhibition committee group. The Millworks concept is as unique as it is empowering

This place is alive with art, community and support. My wife was at the Millworks for 2 years, this is the place she branched out for herself and had a studio and office. The community was incredibly supportive and an overall joy to be around. Everything she learned from the Hausmans lives on well today and is part of her story. Love this place!

I was lucky enough to occupy the studio next to Rex (Co-Owner and Chief Artist in Residence) for close to 3 years before moving away from San Antonio. Rex is a fountain of energy and optimism and insights on life and art. And he sets the tone for the community at the Millworks which is, like him, friendly, open and generous. I came to the Millworks looking for a space to be creative; I found instead a creative space. So much the better for me.
