Good library in a historical building that used to be the train station. Helpful staff and fun childrens section. There is a bookstore in the basement. There is also a cat, who didn't bother me which is amazing because I normally am allergic.
I love this library. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The books are up to date and even have a huge variety of movies! They do close early on Saturdays is the only downfall. They have the cutest cat that greats you. It's just the right size not to big nor to small!
Spent a bit more time in Erwin than I anticipated this summer, all turned out well. A highlight of my visit was the wonderful basement used book sale here.
Sucks! It has very short business hours. Hardly ever open. Wanted to get a library card and the lady who does it wasn't there. They said I had to wait till Monday. By the time I'm home from school, they close. I have no way to go there. Too difficult. Rinky dink library in rinky dink town!
Cindy is probably the only one here that isn't a jerk, the woman over the library really needs to get over herself, she doesn't own the library she acted like me refusing to pay a late fee was taking money away from her personally.nThey don't send notices or call until you are far behind in late fees and then want to be rude when you bring up the matter.nWould say a word if this wasn't what the tax money was paying for, it's already bad enough how same woman is trying to ruin the kids group that meets here.
