Such as sad little place. On a dirt road off HWY 28, the acre or so of final resting places sits tucked among cow pastures. There are only two medium-size evergreens on the lot, so there are not many shaded sites conducive to quiet contemplation and meditation. There are scrub trees along the fence line, however. The grave markers are laid out more or less in a recognizable grid pattern, although some are so crowded together, they appear to be on top of each other. They range from traditional upright and flat granite headstones to handmade &/or temporary markers denoting some form of identification. It appears this cemetery may contain remains who have been transferred from another site, perhaps when the nearby Oolagah Lake was built. There are quite a few simple headstones of identical make which only list a name; some give a date, others only say UNKNOWN. No name. No birth or death dates. Incredibly sad.
