Beautiful campground with terrific views! Stayed at 20 on River Road campground. Loved watching the pelicans swim and play on the river. It was very windy and noisy from the spillway, if you are looking for quiet this is not the place for you.

Lots of awesome scenery. The camping spots in most areas were a little cramped. The equestrian trails look amazing. Grassy, well kept and mowed. I didn't see a lot of rocks. However, at 2 places you must cross the highway. As far as equestrian camping they do have electric and water in one area. But no bathrooms, just a portapotty. The camping spots are very close together. No lots and hardly any room to keep your horses. There are no hitching posts or tie offs. No way to run a line either. The equestrian campground is fenced in itself away from everything. It is very isolated to horses only which is a downfall for my family. We would have to drive around the lake to go swim. The other side has a horse staging area. No electric and again nowhere to tie. After scouting it out This would be a great place for day riding, but I chose not to camp here with my horses. The other activities looked great. Hiking trails, playground, fishing and swimming all looked wonderful. The whole place was well kept and we drove around for a few hours trying to find a good place to camp. The park office was open, but the bathrooms were closed due to covid. I was able to go down the street to the outhouse. I never saw a place with showers, but I didn't inspect all the bathrooms.

Wonderful park for hiking and picnicking. Did not stay here, but stopped for a day visit. Really enjoyable. Wonderful vistas.

reservations are needed for overnight camping. With that said, the park has both rv and tent sites. The tent sites are either primitive or water per site camping. My family has utilized this park four times now and each time was better than the previous. The park is clean, grass is kept mowed, the convenience baths are clean and smell nice. There are shower stalls for the handicapped, and several handicapped sites available. I love the south river road camping sites. You are close to the spillway and river, so the sounds are southing. Wildlife photography and birding is a favorite activity. The men love the airplanes circling during the day from a nearby Air Force secondary field in Jet. There are numerous hiking trails, well maintained and marked so you won't get lost in the woods or fields. There is a stables in the park for those who wish to bring their horses, with plenty of trails for riding. You can fish in the lake, go boating or swimming. Park employees are all very nice. Just an hour north of Enid, Oklahoma, this is the perfect park for us..

We were here Oct 16. Our site was SB04. We loved the site, sits on the lake. We watched the sun go down in the evenings, beautiful! Tons and tons of birds. So peaceful watching them fly over the lake. Highly recommend. If you are interested in Crystal digging or kayaking the streams off the lake, make sure to go before Oct 15. They shut things down for bird migration. Bathroom across from site was kept very clean. Was very breezy on the lake but we still really enjoyed our stay.
