Wichita Falls Public Library

This library is amazing! Clean, bright, and a massive amount of books. What a treat in Wichita Falls. My kids were in heaven with the youth section. They have comic books, movies, computer stations, and of course books for everyone.

I enjoy going to the library. They are soo helpful!!!

The Wichita Falls Public Library is a disappointment. I have been a genealogist for 40 years and have never encountered a library that requires you to physically travel to the library to pick up your library card, even if you live somewhere else. It is certainly understandable that they charge a fee ($25.00) for obtaining a library card if you live outside the city, but to require non-residents to travel to the city is ridiculous. Most non-residents are not going to check-out books, but instead need access to online databases for research purposes. This could easily be solved by offering a special online access only to those who are non-residents.

As a child I have always been fascinated with books. I started going to the WFPL as a teenager and have been going ever since. The Employees ud83dudc4bud83dude0aud83dude0aare AWESOME. Whenever I want a special book 90% of the time they can order it for me. I Love the Atmosphere there; its clean , pleasant, and peaceful. The Employees feel like Family.

I was trying to look up court papers and I was frozen from the computer cause you are only allowed at on for 1 hour. I mean like I don't know are they being real there is a lot of people have more than two hours of work on the computer, so I was trying to get it on my phone and Angela Hill came out and told me that I had to move off the computer that went to the other side of the library where nobody was ans she came and told me that I couldn't sit there on the floor and look up my court papers and she came over and told me that if I didn't leave she's going to call the police. She is rude and I'm like she has no sense of caring for anyone else. She is the rudest librarian I've ever met in my life. She doesn't need to be a librarian at all and think about it this woman is the one that is running the library when your children are there.
