Please go to this shop - you won't be disappointed. Grapenuts Wine is a small boutique-style shop of select wines with a high service ethic and with probably the most helpful manager of any wine shop anywhere. In May 2017 I drove from Boston to the southern coastal border of North Carolina to a benchmark birthday celebration with a Greek food & wine theme cooked by the celebrants. I continually stopped on the route south at various stores looking for Greek wine but could not find a single bottle. I did, however, find Grapenuts Wine on a Google search, and swore it would be absolutely the last wine store stop I would make before giving up. Shelley, the manager, in a lively & interesting chat, extracted a few facts from me about the whole affair (including finding out that as a non-wine drinker I needed all the guidance she could offer, and that the folks I was buying for were food & wine aficionados). She made a selection of red and white wines to go with different dishes on the menu, and they turned out to be the favorites of the birthday group. If you call ahead a give her a little advance notice she will scour her suppliers to find exactly what you want. She will find the perfect unique cork remover or other accessories. Her advice and knowledge of wine is free but priceless. Too bad Grapenuts isn't a little closer to Boston. Great service. Did I mention their wine-tasting sessions on Friday nights?

Grapenuts is a boutique wine store nestled in the Wilson area. I feel like it's a little gem hid away. There is a variety of wine selection, the owners are friendly and helpful. They save your information and purchase choices within a database which was extremely helpful when I visited the first time. I told them I was looking for a wine my friend recommended and they found my friend in the database and gave me the name of the wine. I also have attended several of their wine tasting events that occur on Fridays. The wine tastings make a great girls night out for a few friends or date night for couples.
