First Horizon Bank

Had to laugh when I pulled up to the bank to make a deposit and an armed security guard opened the door for me all that was missing was Barney Fife.

I have dealt with Capital Bank in Union Grove for 25 years. Sandy is the most professional business personnI have dealt with in the banking industry. I live in Yadkinville and had a wire that needed to be done. The purchase turned out to be a scam. I tried to deal with Zoey and Ashley but, did not receive the communication that I felt was a great sense of urgency. They would not return my phone calls, and told me that it was not up to them to get the wired funds back. I asked Zoey to call Sandy at Union Grove to letnher know what was going on. She never made that call that I requested. I asked Ashley to return my callnbut never heard back from her. I had to get Sandy to handle my case.nI will never go back to Capital Bank in Yadkinville

Never, EVER have I dealt with such a pathetic excuse for a bank. Since Capital Bank bought out Southern Community Bank several years ago (around 2012), everything has gone downhill and continues its descent. Good luck getting them to even answer the phone in Yadkinville. And they close at 4pm Mon-Thurs. Seriously? I'm not really even sure if it's Capital Bank, or First Tennessee Bank or First Horizon Nat'l Corporation. Each acquisition Capital Bank makes has marked another downturn for customers. The employee turnover in my local branch is almost laughable. One exception to the Yadkinville branch is Sarah Carter. She has actually been there a while and is very sweet and professional and helpful. Sadly, it's not enough when pitted against all the negative.nnToday, at 2:18am, I got a text msg from Capital Bank informing me a deposit was made into my acct. of $1,XXX (direct deposit) per the perimeters I set up for text alerts. Then at 11:46am I got another text alert that my balance was below $100.00. WTF??? Called my local branch twice and got their answering machine. Had to call the main branch in Winston-Salem, where they were rude and belligerent...though I must admit I was pretty hot by then, so I'm sure I wasn't pleasant myself. I let my anger get the better of me and used some unsavory language. I'm now in the process of switching us to another bank. Been with them since 2001. I should've left when Southern Community got gobbled up by Capital Bank.nnI see there is one other review listed and it has five stars. I seriously suspect this is a fake review. There is NOT ONE person I know who used to bank there or still banks there that has ANYTHING positive to say. Not one.nnIf you're looking to open an account somewhere, please save yourself a great deal of frustration and aggravation and go elsewhere. If you're still banking with them, well you deserve what you get, as did I by not leaving years ago. Live & learn, die and forget it all...
