I second is getting ready to graduate from Sanderson. We have very happy with the faculty and over all school. They have tremendous ROTC, sports and theater programs. We highly recommend it and believe it is one of the best high schools in North Carolina.

Dr. Decker is a joke of a principal. He has no faith in the students and the staff have no faith in him. he spiteful and has made students miserable. Upon taking the place of the previous award winning principle. He used his experience as an elementary school principal to demean every student and teacher in the school. Many of the administrators quit! The staff are remarkable in spite of him. The students are diverse and well meaning.

As a Sanderson employee, I am impressed by the strong community support and excellent efforts to help every student, from struggling to advanced. SHS alumni who attend college come back and say how well prepared they felt for college level academics.

I am a 1976 grad from SHS. The teachers were excellent, activities were diverse. I can't speak for today, but back then, Sanderson was the school along with Ravenscroft to attend. I am proud to have been a Spartan
