2 stars for how friendly the guy was and the current comic selection. I couldn't buy anything because it was cash only. I went and got cash back but couldn't bring myself to go back to the store due to how cluttered it was. It's cluttered to the point where I'm surprised it could pass fire and safety inspections.

Nice older gentlemen with an array of comics and figurines

For those of you who live close to Laurinburg, I can recommend making the trip to Korner Comics. The owner of this establishment, affectionately called Mr. Ed, has plenty to offer inside. Open 7 days a week, his location is not as large as some other places you may be accustomed to, but do not let this discourage you.nnMr. Ed is an older gentleman and is quite knowledgeable of comic history. Engage him, and learn how friendly he can be. Should you ever enter & find his demeanor a bit less than expected, welcome the opportunity to make the moment better than even he might expect. We all need to have the smiles of others and if he should seem to have his locked in his pocket, offer him yours with compliments to pull his out! Hahahahahahaha!nnIf you are looking for something in particular, he will surely make the effort to help you get what you need, if it is not already in store. Since the comics are already bagged and boarded, a peek inside is permitted, but please ask for his assistance. This is a one man operation, so he is understandably protective of the investment he makes for us. And please know, I am someone who is a customer like anyone who goes through his door. I am there often enough to observe the man, to see he simply wants to succeed. If I can help to be a part of the whole that he saw when he began to share his passion years before and sees now in his coming winter years, maybe we all can make his more like spring. That elderly man is the nicest man I've met. So conversational and polite. Could talk with him for hours.
