This place is great!nMy family has used this pharmacy for as long as I can remember. I would say four generations. My grandmother love this place God bless her soul. The Cafe had the best food and the egg salad was the best. Sure do miss the ole days.

Been there since I was little, and also they were so good to my mom when she passed away and with me my son and my dad. I am so grateful to them.

The actual pharmacist/Owner is great. He is very friendly and willing to help people who have no insurance or can’t afford their medications.nHe is the only reason this place is getting any stars at all.nnThat being said the young woman with brown hair, who often runs the cash register, is not very friendly and often gives looks to people who are getting prescriptions such as suboxone or subutex. I noticed that she seems rude towards me when I picked up my prescription of suboxone the first time and I asked a friend of mine who was also in treatment for opioid dependency and she experienced the same thing. This pharmacy is the only one in Sylva that accepts vouchers from a local health department that helps people trying to overcome addiction. The vouchers are for half the price of your prescription which helps those of us who are struggling with poverty and addiction, as those two often go hand in hand. It would be nice to not get looks of disapproval and disgust when I go pick up my medication. I wouldn’t be surprised if this woman is against the government helping people affected by the opioid epidemic. The government is actually suing Pfizer (the pharmaceutical company) because they lied and falsified study data to make it seems like their opioids and benzodiazepines weren’t addictive!!! Google it! Anyway, this dark haired young woman would do well to have more empathy.

This is a community pharmacy where the staff knows everyone!

If not for these great people I could not afford my medications. So kind and helpful.
