I am a transgender and I like the bathrooms where I can be alone but y'all's all closed.

Beautiful mall. Clean, well laid out and plenty of stores and attractions. Well lit. Cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Easily accessible. Lots of unaffiliated stores and restaurants surround it's perimeter. A nice place to hang around or to really do some shopping. I have heard that it was one of the biggest shopping malls in the southeast.

Still a premier shopping mall in Winston-Salem even though Sears and Macy's are no longer present. My wife enjoyed shopping in the large Belk store and the well stocked Simply Southern store, which I enjoyed the unique Bath and Body Works. Hey even a man has to take care of his personal necessities. The mall has a wide variety of merchandise to fill almost anyone's taste. Best thing is its all in one place which means you don't have to do a lot of running around and you can find things that are in your price range.

Bath and Body Works need a designated area for the people that pay with cash. I was waiting in line so I can pay for my stuff and this one oldler employee made a weird fit about her line being a card only lane. I didn't even see any signs about it, so another employee told me to stand to the side while other people paid for their stuff and the employees sort of forgot to ring our stuff. I had to wave down an another employee so they can ring our stuff up. It took forever for the employee to ring my stuff up.

Our visit to Hanes Mall was one of the worst in a long time. I don't when or if I will return. We went to Build a Bear where we had a great visit and no problems. The mall corridors on the other hand was filled with rude and disrespectful children and teens that are supposed to be accompanied by an adult. However the majority of them were not. We had our two small grandchildren and were trampled over twice by a group of boys not shopping but roaming the mall with an adult. I was also threatened by another young woman and she followed me to the restroom and waited outside. Never seen one security person. We called the mall security when we left and his response; we are understaffed and one person can't be everywhere. That was it. I would just not go because they do not care what is going to happen.
