There were a number of negative aspects of our stay:n1) lot of trash on grounds, halls, stairs, etc, 2) the hotel is in great need of remodeling: worn out carpet, hardware in bath and room not working right, 3) we could hear flushing in the room above us. One simple improvement that could reduce trash is to have more trash bins and larger ones that are emptied regularly. Common area like drink machine location have no trash cans. Only 2 (fairly) large bins in the entire hotel inside. Guest rooms have 2 tiny waste baskets despite the large number of guests who are now eating in the rooms.nThe only reason for 3 stars rather than 1 is that the staff was very helpful and friendly, the beds were comfortable, the price was low, pets are welcome and the location was great.
Decent hotel, clean, comfortable, friendly staff! The free breakfast was only Otis Spunkmeyer Plastic Wrapped Muffins, Apple Juice and Orange Juice cups and Coffee, so it could use a little work and imagination. Thanks La Quinta Inn!
We stay at La Quintas often when traveling with our dogs. Our experiences have been for the most part very positive, clean rooms, reasonable prices. We booked a non smoking king room at the. Winston Salem LaQuinta last night and it was terrible: The first room they placed us in was clearly a smoking room, the smell was horrendous. The woman at the front desk did change our room and the second room was better but still had a musty smell. Doors were slamming and kids were running down the halls all night which drove us and our dogs crazy. We barely got any sleep. To top it all off there was a used hypodermic needle laying on the ground right next to our car when we woke up in the morning. We left as quickly as possible and were thankful neither of our dogs stepped on the needle.nnWe will not be staying at this location again.
Great experience. Stayed here a few times. Nice people at check in. Room smelled great, real clean, even called to see if everything was legit. Thx LaQuinta. Changed my previous review from a 4 to a 5. Pet friendly, stuff to eat close by.
La Quinta is a great place to stay with a pet. The rooms are clean and the staff is very helpful. The window heat & A/C units are not reliable. Some are noisy & some are not reliable for temperature control.
