Best, most beautiful place to buy unique art for your home or as gifts!

My partner and I like to support our local businesses. We always try to buy hand made items to furnish our home. Almost every piece is from a place we have visited or from here, our home, weaverville. As we walked into the gallery today, no one greeted us. There was a lady that was walking up to the front and then stood behind the counter, still no greet. We were looking at one of the lamps near the front window. We then walk to the back, where all the lamps were (the whole reason we came in was to Purchase a lamp Today). Another gentleman was putting his material away and we were thinking “ I wonder if anyone is working, or is it that the artist are here but not greeting people.” Anyways, wanting to buy a lamp, I say to the lady behind the counter, now holding a phone to her ear like she had been placed on hold. “Is there anyone working here?” She looks at the phone and was like “I will be there in a minute.” I said “do you do the lamps”. She says “yes”. I think “hmmmmm, she looks bothered to have talked to me”. In these times, I understand that people can be in an off mood. But that wasn’t what I felt. We felt that we were not wanted in there. Maybe it is because we both had tattoos and we in our 40s, we both look younger. Every older person that walked in got greeted, but not us. I don’t know what the reason was. But it was an uncomfortable environment so we left. I don’t write reviews unless I feel that they are just and this one is. It was sad. I’m disappointed in this studio. I value community and I thought this local shop did as well. But clearly I was mistaken.

Impressive, delightful, & high quality local and regional art and crafts. Great selection at a wide range of price points. They always have new work. I highly recommend this gallery.
