Love, love, love this place. I drive 40 minutes once every few weeks just to look around. Owner and staff are helpful, knowledgeable, and super friendly. They promote the hobby and work with local breeders and hobbyists. They will get my business for many years to come.....

All the box stores are the same, this store is a true gem! I will never go to a box pet store again, this is my new go to. Great inventory! Sales staff was helpful and we got just want we needed for our pet turtle.

Good selection, but staff seemed more concerned with themselves than anything. Crammed space so you can barely walk. They're clearly not animal lovers due to the poor state of that location.nnMy big complaint is the music was blaring so loud I had to leave. On top of that the speakers the music comes from is at best 4ft away from all their birds.nnThey should know that birds have incredibly sensitive hearing. So they are torturing the birds basically with their ignorance and or short sightedness.nnThe place looks nice enough, it's definitely busy. Move the damn speakers or move the birds though... or at very least turn down the music to an acceptable level... you're not a night club, you house babies who are unable to speak for themselves.

Best pet store in Slidell. For small pets (reptiles, fish, hamsters, etc.), there is no one more knowledgable than Eric. Avoid the big chains and go to Delta Pet for real help with your pets. While an independent store, their prices are still competitive with the chains, and lower in some cases. Highly recommend.nFROM 5 STARS TO 1 STAR -- NOW THAT ERIC IS GONE, NO SENSE GOING HERE. THERE IS NO ONE ABLE TO HELP WITH QUESTIONS ABOUT YOUR PET'S NEEDS. MAY AS WELL GO TO ONE OF THE CHAINS. CAN NO LONGER RECOMMEND.

Great pet store. Bought a Sulcata tortoise there and continue to learn from the staff on my pet that may outlive me! Their crown jewel is the freshwater fish selection. No box store compares. Buy local! We named him Rocket because in a flash he's gone!
