I recently moved to Mississippi and wanted to join a gym. I thought this gym was a good choice due to its close vicinity and 24 hr access. I called 3 times to talk to someone about joining and left voicemails with no call back. Then, I decided I would go to their place to talk to someone in person. Doors are locked to guest access only. While I understand the reason for this (late night access), I did not appreciate standing to look through the door for a decent amount of time to see if an employee was available. Maybe this gym just serves the locals, but if you are new to town, this is not a gym I recommend spending time to join.
There are staff/trainers that really do care about the people and the equipment (like Robert he's a good guy) but they only have so much authority. Wish the owners were more compelled to fixing things in a timely manner, for example the toilet seat in the men's room that has been broken for months, frayed cords on some of the machines, broken treadmills, holes in the walls.. the place was in better shape when I started about a year ago
