Great wine selection, knowledgeable staff, great cheese selections.

I hadn't heard of them before, but I came across an article that said they had some store pick bourbons that they were selling because of a tasting that was cancelled due to C19. They responded to my e-mail quickly, were polite and efficient when I called for payment, and curbside pickup was fast and easy. I spoke with the gentleman for a few minutes, Dustin I believe his name was, to find more out about the place and such. He was awesome and knowledgeable; I'll definitely be doing more business here in the future!

I normally have Rob, Danny, or Phil assist me. All of them are great. They know every bottle in the store and know my personal tastes and palate. I've never been disappointed with their selections, nor have the recipients of my gifts. They showed me the wines of southern France and all of Spain were not restricted to a much grander budget than my own. You can find an amazing bottle of almost anything for 30 dollars or less. Of course the sky is the limit if you are looking for rare or boutique wines, whiskeys, or other spirits.

The Wine Merchant is located in the heart of Clayton AND has a convenient (free!) parking lot behind the building. This is a great place to pickup a fun mixer, bottle of wine or cheese as a gift or treat for yourself. Plus, they offer a great variety of wine, cocktail and liquor tasting for about $30 to $60 each that make for a perfect date night or gift. You can even schedule a private event for groups (great employee engagement event). The staff is incredibly helpful and are always willing to make suggestions or custom order something specific for you if needed.

My wife and I went to the Clayton Art fair. We stopped in to check out the Cabernet wines at the Wine Merchant. They had a wine tasting featuring Italian Reds. The presentation was very relaxed and the wine aficionado explained where the region's where the wines were were grown. We ended up wit 2 wines. A nice touch to a day at the fair.
