Last night my 11-year-old asthmatic daughter had a coughing fit we could not control. She’d been sick with a bad cold for about 5 days. When we ran out of The normal tricks to stop the cough, we called 911. We didn’t know what to expect since we’d never had to call 911 before. The paramedics responded in 5 minutes. They were able to assess her situation and get her into the ambulance in less than 5 minutes. They were thorough and thoughtful. They allowed me to ride with her to the ER. The paramedic who treated her in the ambulance was kind and was joking with her to keep her calm. They got us into the Peds ER immediately and stayed with her until the hospital nurse came in. Both paramedics were so good with her. I could have not asked for better professional in our emergency situation. Thank you, Creve Coeur Paramedics.
