The women that I was able to speak with after way to many prompts. She answered all my questions politely. The experience was not as bad as expected.

I was robbed at gunpoint a little over two weeks ago. My social security card was stolen, along with my passport and direct express debit card. i cancelled my card and received a replacement which was extremely difficult. I have since been contacting the office every day for the last two weeks, trying to get my 1099 in order to use that to get my personal information back.nnI am on disability and have been for the last two years. I am now homeless during covid with no identification. I have called and asked them to send 1099 on four different occasions and I still have not received it. Terrible, right? That's not the worst part. I was told I could get a copy of my social security card by using their website. First attempt, I found out they didn't spell my address correctly, so I was unable to sign up. Then after remedying that, I was told the information that the credit bureaus have provided don't match my records. More than likely someone using my identity that just robbed me. Cannot freeze my credit without identification.nnOkay, well I still have my direct express. The only thing I have left. Well today I receive my monthly benefits in check form. Not my 1099, but a physical check, the money that should come on my debit card. Guess what, I can't cash my check because I dont have proof of my identity, which I have explained to SSA every other day for last two weeks.nnI called today around noon, was polite, and explained to the employee the steps i have taken to keep ssa up to date, and that my 1099 from them is all that is standing in the way from me getting all of my very much needed documentation. I was promised I would receive a call back this afternoon/evening from an SSA supervisor.. it is now 6 p.m.nnI have a check I cannot cash, no documentation to get any of my identification, and no call from said supervisor. I have since contacted my congressman, channel 5 news, channel 2, and channel 4 with this synopsis.nnIn the middle of covid you do the one thing that would make everything that is going on worse. I will continue to contact news stations and whomever else I can to make sure neither I, nor anyone else, has to deal with this lack of competence and follow through. You've brought me to the thoughts of suicide. I went above and beyond to attempt to let you know what was going on. Even your staff member today has no idea why you would send me a check when I have said repeatedly I have no I.D., or any form of identification.nnYou are suppose to be hear to assisst people with disabilities and issues.. the only thing you have done is make my situation that much harder. I hope everyone that dropped the ball here is fired or at the very least, disciplined for their lack of care. Disrespectful, absent minded, and utterly dysfunctional I have lost all respect for your establishment.

The wait times are of course extremely long. They have no method to the numbers they call. Their employees randomly close their windows for 20 minutes at a time. The lady that helped me was fast and efficient which was incredible, but it's been months and I don't have a new SS card like I needed. She never actually put in the paperwork. So I have wasted yet another day at the social security administration. But what can you do? Looks like I will be headed back. I do like this location over the Gravios road location as the employees here are a thousand times more competent and they have more room.

Everyone was so friendly and efficient! I maybe spent about 30 minutes at the office, and they made the process painless and easy

The people who work there have always been helpful and friendly. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because of the long wait times.
