Nice folks. Beautiful river. Tubed from Deer Leap to Doniphan late Aug 20. Only negative was the take out is difficult as you must get across a long stretch of dead water which is challenging in a tube. No problem for kayakers. We will be back.

KC's on the current their rate for floating is reasonable, the current river is beautiful. However, their campsite is horrendous. I had people drive down all the way from St Louis that drove back because they could not stay on the campsite. The bathrooms were horrendous the showers were disgusting with mud and rock all over them you could not even get clean in them. The campsites had absolutely no grass or Rock and when it rained you are expected to put your tents on at least 6 in of thick heavy dark mud that is a potential fall hazard. We tried to move to a different campsite that was a little bit more grassy and the owner told us that he cannot help mother nature and we had to move back to our thick 6 in mud pile of a campsite. I had guests that actually left and drove back to St Louis because they refused to put their tents or sleep on that much mud. The owners really need to invest in either Laying Rock down or hay down or planting grass seed something. I will definitely float the current river again and I could float with KCs again because like I said the prices were reasonable for floating but I will never stay on their campsite again.

KC's provides a variety of rafts for current river float trips. You can take as long as you want as long as you are back by close. We had two adults and two children. We used the 6 man raft. It left us with plenty of room for our coolers.
